Drawing a Menorah
Step 1:
Start by drawing a set of straight vertical parallel lines. At each line’s top and bottom ends, draw a short line extending to a diagonal angle. Then connect the lines to each end using a short line. It forms the central support of the dumb.
Step 2:
Draw two sets of parallel lines in the form of a “U” crossing the central support. Note that the lower line of lines is much larger than the upper set. Draw diagonal lines that extend from the top of each set of lines. Then connect each pair of lines using a short line, forming the four candlesticks.
Step 3:
Draw an additional pair of lines in the form of a parallel “U.” Extend the diagonal lines of the vertices and connect those using short lines. It forms two additional candlesticks.
Step 4:
Draw another large pair of “u” shapes. Extend the diagonal lines of the ends and connect those using short lines.
Step 5:
Draw a small rectangle at the base of the dumb. Below, draw a long but narrow rectangle. Then draw a longer final rectangle under the previous one. It forms the support of the dumb.
Step 6:
Start drawing candles at the top of the Menorah. For each candle, join a vertical rectangle using three straight lines.
Step 7:
Keep drawing rectangular candles until each of the candlesticks is filled.
Step 8:
Draw a short line on each candle to indicate the wick. Above each wick, use curved lines to include a tear form, forming the flame. Use curved lines to include irregular shapes at the top of each candle, in each rectangle, indicating melted wax.
Step 9:
Color your Menorah. Menorahs are traditionally golden colored and topped with white candles.
